Our aim at West London Music Tutors is to make music accessible to everyone.
If you are a beginner, intermediate or advanced student we have the tools and experience to enhance what you have and provide you with much more. Contemporary music demands one to grasp various styles from all lands and times. This in essence is what we aim to do; to literally open up the great and vast world of music. If you love jazz, classic, hip hop, rock, blues, funk or any contemporary style and want to master these styles we have the skills, experience and resources for this to happen.
West London Music Tutors are qualified teachers, fully CRB checked with the option of having the lesson at either the teacher's studio or at your home. If you wish to gain an accreditation for your efforts, we can give you all the support and assistance for Trinity College Exams, ABRSM, or any other provider of your choice.

Michael R P Hardy (Dip. Music, SMISM) is offering piano and theory lessons with The Associated Board, Royal Schools of Music, in Grades 1-8.
This gives you the opportunity to learn music theory alongside learning the piano, building up a thorough knowledge in all aspects of music as you progress through the grades.
This also gives you ear training, aural, sight reading and increase your repertoire.
Should you wish – you can also undertake music composition classes as Michael has an extensive background in this subject.
Whether it’s pop, classical, jazz or any other genre you’re looking to write (but maybe don’t know how), do get in touch.
Thank you
Lindsay is a pianist, teacher, and certified piano technician with a lifelong dedication to high quality music education. Her journey began with a music scholarship to Rossall School at the age of nine, followed by a full academic and boarding scholarship to Chetham’s School of Music—one of the UK’s leading specialist music schools. She holds a First-Class Honours degree in Music, a Master’s in Music Industry Management and Promotion (awarded with Distinction), a Postgraduate Diploma in Secondary Music Education with Qualified Teacher Status (graded Outstanding by Ofsted). In addition, she trained in piano technology at the University of Western Ontario, earning certification as a Piano Technician. This unique combination of musical, technical, and industry expertise underpins her well-rounded approach to both teaching and leading a thriving, successful piano school.
In 2018, after returning to the UK and leading a secondary school music department, Lindsay independently founded The Piano School.
In 2022, Lindsay was joined by her partner, now husband David—a fellow Chetham’s alumnus, accomplished classical pianist, and trained piano technician. In 2025, Mike Taylor added a new dimension to the team, bringing a focus on jazz, improvisation, and contemporary styles through ‘The Jazz School’.
The school hosts two larger open concerts each year and offers regular smaller, informal meet-ups for adult learners, fostering not just performance skills, but community and connection. At the heart of The Piano School’s success is a commitment to quality, professionalism, inclusion, and—above all—the students. Lindsay believes music should be accessible, inspiring, and shared, and she’s proud to lead a school where those values guide everything they do.
