About John Leech Studio
Professional experience
I’m a professional wedding photographer based in the Lake District working throughout the UK (I’ve also photographed weddings in Germany and Finland). I love to cover the entire event from getting ready right through to the last dance taking a mix of reportage candid moments to posed portraits and groups. I like to capture the expressions and emotions to build a story of how the day unfolds. I love all aspects of my job, pre-wedding meetings, attending rehearsals if possible, people watching on the day. To get the type of shots I take I have to be easy going and personable with everyone at the wedding and work tirelessly from start to finish. I then edit the final photos to provide a gallery of print ready images and have various options for wedding albums.

I hired John Leech to shoot my wedding. After searching around, I found that John was able to explain more clearly and plainly what he could provide for us than any other photographer that we spoke to, whilst maintaining an air of professionalism that gave us confidence in his ability to deliver. He was exceptional throughout the day; hard working yet stealthy at the same time. He did a pre-wedding shoot with my wife, shot the big day and even covered the whole evening reception; something most other photographers were reluctant to do. John's personality was perfect for bringing out the best from the wedding guests too, he managed to get so many excellent shots of even the most camera shy. We asked John to produce a wedding album for us also. It's superbly presented and looking at the album now brings back fond memories of our big day; with so many smiles and perfectly timed shots. I recommend John every time one of my friends tells me they are planning a wedding.

John Leech was the photographer in our daughter wedding. John commitment to work was exceptional. Communication with people to photograph was flawless and that way guests were very happy and relaxed about photographing. But the most important thing here are the photos. They are absolutely brilliant and number of great shots from the whole event from dawn till dusk. Truly professional service in all areas: commitment, quality and speed. I did not find a single thing to complain!

FAQs

I have studied photography at art college as part of my fine art foundation course and degree in Graphic Design. I've been published in books and magazines and won photography awards.
I've worked with couples young and old (the eldest couple having a combined age of 154!), families, School Balls in locatons ranging from beach huts to country parks. It is always exciting to visit a new locations.
