Of the new generation of owner run Street Food businesses we are one of the oldest and most well established - starting at the old Stockbridge Market over 10 years ago. Our founder Kaori Simpson is 4th generation Japanese Chef owner and her mother when visiting Scotland had the idea of doing a summer festival style Japanese noodle and stall. It used to be very quiet but now its very popular, feeding hundreds of people every Sunday and adds the community at Stockbridge. Our aim is to have fun, spread good Japanese food and culture and of course make the best business we can. 5 Years ago we set up the Harajuku Kitchen Bistro that is very popular in Bruntsfield/ Tollcross area of Edinburgh. We are very pleased to be the caterer for the Japanese Consulate in Edinburgh, the Scotland Rugby Team and in 2018 we won the Best Street Food in Scotland, and this year we won the Golden Chopsticks award for Best Asian Restuarant in Scotland.
