We have used Suzanne and kettle design for a number of projects since July 2014. Started with major refurbishment of bedroom and ensuite shower room which for structural reasons required removal and redesign of the floor using RSJs. This neccesarily involved replacement of the lounge ceiling and redecoration. This produced a stunning result. Suzanne was brilliant on colur scheme & soft furnishing suggestions and was very happy to modify the selection to suite our preferences. She suggested and supervised the tradesmen.
We were so happy that we asked her to help us with convertion of an adjacent bedroom to a dressing room. She produced CAD drawings of how we might create useful storage space in an understairs recess & designed made to measure wardrorbes with papered panels to continue the wallpaper used on the walls.this avvoided being faced with a vaste expanse of wardrobe doors. Her recomended cabinet maker did a great job. He entirely rebuilt the doors from scratch in the price when the doors refused to stay true on fitting. She helped us redisgn an adjacent bedroom to be suitable to accomodate visiting grandchildren, whilst still being appropriate for adult visitors. Her cabinet maker was able to copy some John Lewis modern wardrobes that were already fitted in this room to produce an additional matching storage unit buit into a disused doorway.
We moved on to repainting painted units in the kitchen. Her colour scheme was innovative and works well. We then redecorated the loft convertion including changing the bannister rail from hemlock stained spndles to light oak and glass. This gave this floor a modern light and airy feel with new carpets and recovering a sofa blended stunningly with zany feature wallpaper panel on one face of the staircase and a feature wall in the attic. She was rightly insistant that the carpet on the stairs should be fitted so that the pattern repeated exactly on each tread. Her recommended fotters perfomed this flawlessly once they realised what was required.
We then moved on to redecorating the hall stairs and landing. Suzanne was happy to work the whole colour theme and patterns around some lwall light fittings we liked. She was happy to source these for us.
She has measured and supplied some modern slatted venetian blinds when removal of neighbour's trees compromised privacy. Her measurement was impecable taking account of our out of true window recesses. She has suggested and sourced seat squab coverings for dining room chairs and arranged recovering.
As our extensive use of Suzanne in multiple consecutive projects testifies, we are delighted with her company Kettle Design's service. Suzanne comes up with colours and textures that we would never have thought of ourselves. She is happy to work around our preferences. She is thorough to the point of obession with getting things right. I am by nature a bit of a perfectionist and she rises to the challenge. Suzanne will complain to manufacturers and tradesmen when products and services do not meet expectations and she manages the replacement of products and rectification of works admirably. No project is evver glltch free. She removes all the anxt. She is more than happy for me to undertake parts of a project that I wish to undertake. This is a very satisfactory symbiotic relationship. We will continue to use her services for many years.
