I got a sample of my Artex taken from the bedroom ceiling, ray was very helpful and saved me a fortune as I was going to get it removed as asbestos and told me it should be sampled as it’s not always the case, that it contains asbestos. He was on time, very reasonably priced and gave great advice! Thank you again Ray!

We have a standard pricing for taking samples of £60 for the first sample followed by £30 per sample after that. All jobs are different-and pricing reflects that as we have to price on time samples, location and Type of work required.
We keep it simple, firstly we will find out about the job so we can advise the client what service they need. Ask for Photo's, Timescale, Why they need the survey/sample or Removal. So we can make sure what they want or need is what is being asked for.
I have been in the building trade for 30 years, 17 years ago I took the Asbestos Surveyors course P402 and started TASC , since then I have also become an Asbestos Trainer Training all our Surveyors, (IATP and UKATA ) Trainer I have done it all so no one says "You don't know what its Like"
I was in the building trade doing refurbishments and was sick of being given bad advice on Asbestos and being charged a fortune then finding out half of the advice was wrong.
Name it, went around all the Cadburys factories in England and Ireland, did Metro Centre and Eldon square for over 10 years, do a national contract Monitoring over 120 Blocks of flats every year that we Surveyed 15 Years ago. Do a single sample for Estate Agents and house holders.
A young couple needed a Asbestos Survey for there new home, they didn't need it instead I took a couple of samples, saved them money and gave them advice on putting in Kitchen/ Bathroom where to buy etc. They gave me a great review on Yell. Its not always the big jobs that count.
Check there reviews, Ask for a copy of there insurance, talk to them about there experience and who you will be dealing with.
What do you need. May sound obvious but if a Surveyor has given you a report saying your Artex ceilings may have Asbestos get a Asbestos Survey see if the company you are talking to asks you or just quotes you, I would say let me see the report as you may only need to take samples.
